Airline Pilot Training and Qualification Program
This Program provides merit-based graduate instructional assistantships, teaching assistantships and research opportunities in different academic units.
Airline Qualification Program
The Airline Qualification Program (AQP) through American Academy of Aeronautics provides instrument rated candidates with teaching assistantship appointments and instructional assistantships once they complete the commercial pilot development and the flight instructor qualification programs, and to pursue upper-level certificate program study in the Airline Pilot Qualification Program. AQP students are fully matriculated students of American Academy of Aeronautics with all privileges and responsibilities.
AQP applicants are subject to the same admission requirements as other applicants, the application deadlines may differ.
Airline Qualification Program Admissions
At American Academy of Aeronautics, we look for students who exhibit a commitment to learning, a strong work ethic, and a love of aviation. The primary criterion for admission is a commitment to academic success. We seek outstanding students who can bring positive energy to American Academy of Aeronautics. We also take into consideration personal qualities.
The admissions process at American Academy of Aeronautics is limited to the enrollment dates each school year. We are placing students quarterly in the AQP program sessions which start in January, March, June and September. Early program sessions option start in November, February, May, and August. Late program sessions option start in July and October. Since the admissions process for a typical qualified upper-level student takes about 30 days, and since courses have a tendency to fill up quickly, we encourage you to start the admissions process as early as possible.
