EMPLOYMENT OPPORTUNITIES

Two Full Time Flight Instructor Positions:

Position: Flight Instructor
Flight Base: Mather, California
Length of Assignment: Regular full time after successful completion of the initial training and probationary period, minimum six month.
Commitment: American Academy of Aeronautics is looking for a minimum of six month commitment.

Qualification Requirements:

  1. Commercial SEL pilot certificate, single engine flight
    instructor certificate airplane and Instrument.
  2. FAA second class medical with no weaver.
  3. Logbook copy of last three pages or last 50 flight hours.
  4. Letter of recommendation by a teacher, instructor, or a
    job placement officer. Special Qualification: Team player's skills and ethics.
    Able to play an active roll in the area of course management
    and development.

Compensation:

Instructor pay is based on hourly productivity rate:
$20/ hour for lower level courses
$23/ hour for upper level.

Vacation:

After six month - 8 days
After 1 year - 14 days
After 2 years - 30 days

Training:

Training will be conducted at Mather, California, at the general aviation terminal “flight department”, and the sim center across the street from the terminal, training period is
estimated to last for one week, compensation starts upon successful completion of training.

Schedule:

Monday through Friday, some short hours twice per month on Saturday morning.

Uniform:

To be provided by airman.

ONE ADVANCED FLIGHT INSTRUCTOR

Position: Flight Instructor
Flight Base: Mather, California
Length of Assignment: Regular full time after successful completion of the initial training and probationary period, minimum six month.
Commitment: American Academy of Aeronautics is looking for a minimum of six month commitment.

Qualification Requirements:

  1. Commercial SEL and MEL pilot certificate, single engine flight instructor certificate airplane and Instrument.
  2. Multi-engine instructor preferred but not required.
  3. Total time 800 hours, Dual given 400 hours.
  4. FAA second class medical with no weaver.
  5. Logbook copy of last three pages or last 50 flight hours.
  6. Letter of recommendation by a teacher, instructor, or a job placement officer.

Special Qualifications:

Team player's skills and ethics. Able to play an active roll in the area of course management and development.

Compensation:

$23/ hour for upper level courses
$27/hour for multi and B737 advanced cockpit instruction.
